Christmas in Rome

In Italy and Rome Christmas time begins on the 8th of December, which is a bank holiday in Italy and is usually celebrated with a festive holiday atmosphere : mild climate allows visitors to enjoy the city at its best, with glittering streets and Christmas shopping starting. Visit Rome at Christmas from the early days of December, our hotel is close to museums and event location that alternate in Rome! The first of our tip is the historic ‘Exhibition of 100 Cribs’, in the halls of Bramante : a picturesque religius tradition that celebrates nativity in Rome with representations made of sculpture and animations. A walk to the shopping centre is a must for fans of gifts. Via del Corso and Via Condotti will be set up with always more striking decorative lights. Thus, at the intersection of the two streets, on the right you can admire the decorations of Palazzo Fendi, each year more and more beautiful. You may notice that the decorations in the streets of the center, are not all equal. In Rome, in fact, every neighborhood is ‘self-managed’. Of course, St. Peter’s Square is definitely a Christmas in Rome must: the tallest Christams tree in Rome stands here, and the Nativity at the center of the square is left every year beyond January 6, whichtraditionally closes Christamas time in ITaly, perhaps because it is so beautiful that noone wants to remove it! Enjoy Christams in Rome with us: Hotel Capo d’Africa is in the hub of Rome during this time of the year!
